Hodgson returns to Darlington, again

Third Division strugglers Darlington have named David Hodgson as their new manager.

It is the third time that Hodgson has been in charge of the Quakers and will take over from Mick Tait.

The former Sunderland, Norwich and Liverpool striker guided Quakers to the play-off final at Wembley in 2000, before a much publicised row with chairman George Reynolds led to his departure in August 2000.
