Rio Ferdinand faces a maximum two-year ban after the FA charged the Manchester United defender with misconduct over his failure to attend a drugs test. The FA have been considering the case against the England centre-back ever since UK Sport inspectors visited United's Carrington training ground to conduct the test on September 23.
