Oblak earns top Slovenian accolade

LJUBLJANA, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Former Yugoslav international Brane Oblak has been voted Slovenia's best player of the last five decades, the Slovenian Football Association said on Thursday.

'With his soccer skills Brane Oblak was one of the best soccer players in the world in the 1970s,' the FA said.

Some 150 soccer players, coaches, experts and sports journalists chose Oblak, who now coaches first division side Ljubljana, ahead of former Slovenia coach Srecko Katanec and Benfica ...
