Women's team largely forgotten at home

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- The gold medal at the Pan American Games hasn't translated into much respect back home for the Brazilian women's soccer team.

That's something they hope to change at the Women's World Cup, which starts Saturday.

``I thought that a gold medal at the Pan Am Games would have given our team some visibility, but when I got here I saw that nothing changed,'' 26-year-old striker Katia said.
