Ex-Saint Davies signs for Bolton

Kevin Davies has completed his transfer to Bolton after passing a medical.

The 26-year-old striker, released by Southampton at the end of last season, impressed Trotters boss Sam Allardyce during a recent trial spell at the Reebok Stadium and has signed a one-year deal.

Davies, who scored for Bolton in a 4-0 friendly win over Portadown on Saturday, said: 'I can't wait to get as fit as I can and get my place in the team. I've got a chance in the Premiership.'
