Officials may decide $80M plan's fate

HARRISON, N.J. -- Financing plans for a proposed $80 million soccer stadium for the MetroStars could wind up in front of town officials for a vote July 1.

The financing arrangement is expected to be presented to the town this week, Mayor Ray McDonough said.

McDonough and Peter Higgins, chairman of the Harrison Redevelopment Agency, said MetroStars owner Anschutz Entertainment Group will put up $30 million toward the 25,000-seat stadium.
