U.S. keeper wants to emulate Friedel, Keller

LYON, France -- While Manchester United is losing David Beckham to Real Madrid, the English champion could be getting Tim Howard for next season.

Manchester United's interest in the 24-year-old goalkeeper, who plays for the MetroStars in Major League Soccer, means Howard has a big spotlight on him at the Confederations Cup heading into the U.S. opener against Turkey on Thursday.
