Dallas defender suspended for game

NEW YORK -- Major League Soccer fined Dallas Burn defender Ryan Suarez $250 Thursday for failing to leave the field in an orderly manner following his ejection from Saturday's game against Los Angles.

Suarez was ejected after being issued his second yellow card of the match during second-half stoppage time. After being shown a red card by referee Ricardo Valenzuela, Suarez remained on the field to protest the decision.

The Burn and Galaxy played to a 1-1 tie.
