Panathinaikos fans show their anger

ATHENS, May 13 (Reuters) - Panathinaikos coach Sergio Markarian quit the Athens club on Tuesday, in the wake of fans storming the club's training session, according to the semi-official Athens News Agency (ANA).

The Uruguayan coach announced his decision to players at the ground, reported ANA, bringing to an end his second term in two seasons at Panathinaikos.

The club refused to confirm Markarian's status when contacted.
