Waddle wants Chesterfield job

Former England winger Chris Waddle has emerged as an early contender for the vacant managerial position at Chesterfield following the resignation of Dave Rushbury.

Rushbury handed in his notice earlier in the week because of abuse he was receiving from certain sections of Chesterfield supporters after a miserable record of three wins this year - a barren spell that has seen them dragged to within a point of the relegation zone.
