ISU claims WSF had 'orchestrated attack against ISU'

The International Skating Union complained Tuesday about the timing of a splinter group's introductory news conference, saying it was "an abuse of the most prestigious figure skating event in the world.''

In a release, the ISU also heavily criticized Ron Pfenning, the acting president of the World Skating Federation and a former member of the ISU's powerful technical committee. The ISU claimed that Pfenning was putting together the WSF while still a high-ranking ISU member.
