Tigers punish Ferguson for violating team rules

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Missouri forward Jeffrey Ferguson has been suspended for two games for violating team rules.

Ferguson, a 6-foot-10 reserve, will miss Saturday's game against Colorado and Monday's game against Kansas. Ferguson is averaging 2.1 points and 3.1 rebounds a game.

Sam Fleury, Missouri's assistant director of media relations, declined to comment on the specifics of the violation, saying it was an internal issue and not related to any kind of criminal conduct.
