Barbados on FA Cup itinerary

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan will honour his vow to take the FA Cup trophy to the Caribbean as the club continues to bask in its shock victory over Manchester City.

Whelan, who owns a villa on the island of Barbados, is due to leave in his summer holidays once he unveils former Bolton manager Owen Coyle as the replacement to Roberto Martinez.

But before he jets off, the 76-year-old has renewed his promise to parade the historic trophy for all of Barbados.
