'Keeper Gordon eyes playing return

Former Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon hopes he may soon be ready to return to football after playing only one game in two years because of a tendon problem.

It had been feared that 30-year-old Gordon, who became British football's most expensive goalkeeper when he completed a £9 million move to the Black Cats from Hearts in 2007, may have had to retire because of the patella tendon injury.
