SPL clubs agree on play-off proposal

A new 42-club body, which includes top-flight play-offs, has been agreed by Scottish Premier League teams and could be introduced in time for next season.

The proposals are yet to be put to the Scottish Football League but would involve a 12-10-10-10 league system. The 11th placed team in the top-flight would compete in a four team play-off at the end of the season.
