Doubts persist over Bremen coach Schaaf

Schaaf future remains uncertain

Werder Bremen have confirmed coach Thomas Schaaf will take charge of the team at Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, but doubts persist over his future at the club.

Schaaf, 51, is the longest-serving coach in the Bundesliga, having been in charge of Bremen since 1999, but a run of nine games without a win has led to speculation that he could be on his way out.
