Revs' Kevin Alston out indefinitely

New England Revolution defender Kevin Alston has taken an indefinite leave of absence to undergo treatment for chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), a rare but treatable form of leukemia, the club announced Monday.

Alston's medical treatment is not expected to require hospitalization and he is expected to return to play in the future.
