A late penalty from Mohamed Aboutrika earned Egypt a 2-1 victory over Zimbabwe to continue their unbeaten start to World Cup qualifying in the African zone.

Egypt had won both of their opening two matches in Group G and looked set to add to that when Hosni Abd Rabou put them in front after 65 minutes.
