McInnes to take over at Aberdeen

Derek McInnes has been appointed as Aberdeen's next manager and will take over following the Scottish Premier League split in a fortnight's time.

Current Dons boss Craig Brown revealed earlier this month that he will be retiring to take up a non-executive director role with the club after the split.

McInnes, who was sacked by Bristol City in January, will be joined by assistant coach Tony Docherty. Both have signed up until 2015, with the option of a rolling contract thereafter.
