Barca denies Lionel Messi-David Villa rift

Barcelona assistant coach Jordi Roura said rumors of a rift between Lionel Messi and David Villa were "absurd" after the pair combined to devastating effect in Sunday's 3-1 win over Rayo Vallecano.

Rayo could not handle the partnership at the Nou Camp with all three goals coming from the pair, Villa opening the scoring and Messi scoring twice before Raul Tamudo grabbed a consolation.
