Sydney FC's Foord joins US women's side

Matilda and Sydney FC player Caitlin Foord has signed with the US National Women's Soccer League's New Jersey side Sky Blue FC, where she will play with fellow Matilda Lisa De Vanna.

"Caitlin is a player who has a lot of potential," Sky Blue FC head coach Jim Gabarra said in a statement on Wednesday.

"She is someone who grew up playing forward and converted into being a right defender, so she fits well into the system that we want our wide defenders to play.
