PSV's Jeremain Lens gets 3-match ban

AMSTERDAM -- PSV Eindhoven forward Jeremain Lens has been given a three-match ban for getting into a post-game shoving match with Joris Mathijsen after Feyenoord beat his club 2-1 over the weekend.

The Dutch Football Association banned Lens on Wednesday for bringing the game into disrepute "by grabbing his opponent's shirt and not letting go."

Lens apologized for the confrontation Monday, saying "I should not have waited for him outside the dressing rooms."
