Quinn steps down as FC Dallas CEO

Doug Quinn has stepped down as MLS club FC Dallas' chief executive just three months after he was charged with beating and choking his wife at a New York City hotel.

Quinn had been placed on administrative leave after police said he assaulted wife Elizabeth after an argument in their Manhattan hotel room on November 10. A criminal complaint said he repeatedly punched her in the face, put a pillow over her head and applied pressure so she couldn't breathe.
