Shenhua lose title due to match-fixing

Shanghai Shenhua have been stripped of a league title and hit by a points deduction for next season due to their part in the match-fixing scandal in China.

Super League club Shenhua, who have recently lost star duo Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka to clubs back in Europe, were fined £100,000 and deducted six points for next season after they were found guilty of fixing a match in their 2003 league-winning campaign.
