England offers Paul Gascoigne support

LONDON -- English national team players have offered to provide support for Paul Gascoigne after he was admitted to a clinic to receive treatment for alcoholism.

Fears for the health of the former England star -- known as "Gazza" -- grew over the weekend after he was pictured in ill health while addressing an audience.

England captain Steven Gerrard says "we've spoken to the FA (Football Association) and we've made it clear we are able to help if needed."
