Nigeria reaches African Cup semis

Tournament favorite Ivory Coast crashed out of the African Nations Cup at the quarterfinal stage after it was ousted 2-1 by Nigeria at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

Emmanuel Emenike gave the Super Eagles the lead just before the break and although Cheick Tiote equalized early in the second half, Sunday Mba's deflected effort won the game for Nigeria, which will now face Mali in the semifinals on Wednesday.
