Pardew urges agent clampdown

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has called for the game's authorities to clamp down on the unprofessional behaviour of football agents, after he described the his hectic January transfer window as 'a difficult business to be a part of.'

Speaking in his programme notes for Saturday's game against Chelsea, Pardew echoed the sentiments of QPR boss Harry Redknapp and West Ham co-owner David Sullivan by suggesting agents are using unpleasant tactics in a bid to seal big-money deals.
