Grella retires after long injury battle

Former Socceroos star Vince Grella has retired following a long battle with injury, just two days after playing what turned out to be his only match for his final club Melbourne Heart.

The 33-year-old veteran of 46 internationals and two World Cup campaigns was signed by the Heart amid great fanfare in October.
