U.S. to face Canada on Jan. 29

CHICAGO -- The U.S. soccer team will open its 2013 schedule with an exhibition game against Canada at Houston's BBVA Compass Stadium on Jan. 29.

The Americans will hold a training camp from Jan. 14-27 in Carson, Calif. The U.S. has pushed back and shortened the annual camp, which started in 2004 and is mostly for players from Major League Soccer and Scandinavian teams on winter break.
