Charlie Adam's father dies aged 50

The father of current Scotland international and Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam has died suddenly aged 50 in Dundee, police said.

Charles Adam senior, who played for Dundee United and Partick Thistle during his career, passed away on Monday and police said there were no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
