Inter appeal Guarin suspension

Inter Milan are hopeful midfielder Fredy Guarin's one-match ban will be overturned on appeal.

Guarin was banned by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) after Inter's 1-0 loss at Lazio as a result of his "aggressive and intimidating" conduct towards referee Paolo Mazzoleni.

A statement on inter.it read: "Inter announces that it has appealed against the one-match ban given to Fredy Guarin today by the FIGC's sports judge."
