Hooper close to agreeing new deal

Celtic manager Neil Lennon believes Gary Hooper is close to agreeing a new contract.

Hooper, 24, has only 18 months remaining on his current deal and his fine form has led to speculation he could be tempted by a move back to England, with Southampton said to be interested.

However, Lennon feels negotiations over an extension have gone well and that the striker is close to committing his future to the Scottish Premier League champions.
