Beckham unlikely to join A-League

A-League clubs will have to pull off a minor miracle if they are to land the services of David Beckham, with the soccer superstar claiming Australia is simply too far away from his business interests for him to contemplate a playing stint there.

Glory owner Tony Sage met with Beckham in London earlier this week after the pair attended the opening of Viva Forever!, a stage show based on the songs of the Spice Girls.
