No A-League penalty for Fabio tackle

Sydney FC's Fabio is set to escape A-League sanction for a crude tackle which will sideline Melbourne Heart youngster Ben Garuccio for a month.

Scans on Monday showed the incident caused Garuccio to strain one ligament in his right ankle and partially tear another.

The 17-year-old was felled from behind by a lunging tackle from the Brazilian defender in the second half of Sunday's scoreless draw at Allianz Stadium.
