A late winner from Romain Alessandrini earned Rennes a place in the semi-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue with a 2-1 result over top-flight rivals Troyes.

Jonathan Pitroipa fired Rennes in front after just eight minutes, providing the finish to a ball into the area from Julien Feret.

Corentin Jean then marked his senior debut for Troyes with the equaliser after 22 minutes with the youngster firing low into the net.
