Atletico extends Ronaldinho's contract

SAO PAULO -- Ronaldinho will play another season with Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro.

The club said Wednesday it has extended Ronaldinho's contract until the end of 2013.

The two-time world soccer player of the year signed with Atletico Mineiro in June and helped keep the club in contention for the Brazilian league title until the final rounds.

The 32-year-old Ronaldinho played 31 matches with Atletico, scoring nine goals.
