Young Socceroos qualify for U-20 World Cup

After a series of disasters, the Young Socceroos have given Australia's underage football program a massive boost.

The team booked under-20 World Cup qualification and a chance at Australia's second football trophy in Asia by reaching the Asian under-19 championship semi-finals in the United Arab Emirates.

Coached by former Socceroos star Paul Okon, they beat Jordan 3-0 in their quarter-final in Al Fujairah City, striker Corey Gameiro scoring a hat-trick.
