Everton players back Osman call-up

Phil Neville and Sylvain Distin have backed Roy Hodgson's decision to call up Everton midfielder Leon Osman to the England squad for the first time.

Osman, 31, has been named in the squad for the friendly against Sweden in Stockholm next Wednesday, and Everton captain Neville is thrilled for his team-mate, describing him on Twitter as "technically as good as anyone", while defender Distin declared the honour was thoroughly deserved.
