Victory coach backs Kewell comeback

Melbourne Victory coach Ange Postecoglou says it would be a shame if Harry Kewell never played in the A-League again.

However, Postecoglou says the former Victory and Liverpool star faces a difficult situation with wife Sheree Murphy's mother battling illness in England. Kewell cut ties with the Victory in March for family reasons.

Kewell, 34, expressed interest this week in playing, potentially with Perth, after a chance meeting at the Melbourne Cup with Glory owner Tony Sage.
