Karim Benzema out for France-Italy

French coach Didier Deschamps on Thursday left Karim Benzema off the squad for France's Nov. 14 friendly against Italy to allow the Real Madrid star time to overcome a minor thigh ailment.

Benzema missed the midweek Champions League draw against Borussia Dortmund and will not be rushed back for the clash in Parma next Wednesday.
