Reds lead A-League with maximum points

The marquees starred, the champions stirred, the biggest clubs stalled.

But all find themselves off an A-League pace set by unfancied Adelaide United - the only team with maximum points after the first two weekends of the season.

The Reds' 1-0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers, combined with Melbourne Heart and Wellington Phoenix's 1-1 draw and Perth Glory's 1-0 loss to Central Coast on Sunday, gives Adelaide a two-point lead atop the competition.
