Matthaus blames fans for lack of job

Former Germany captain Lothar Matthaus believes that fans opposed to his connections with Bayern Munich are responsible for him not landing a managerial position in the Bundesliga.



Matthaus is a legend in German football, having picked up a record 150 caps for his country as well as captaining them to the 1990 World Cup.

Since retiring he has coached in an array of places overseas such as Serbia, Brazil, Israel and Hungary with mixed success.
