Burnley youngster faces heart surgery

Burnley youngster Jack Errington has been ruled out for the rest of the season after the news emerged that he will have to undergo heart surgery.

Errington, 17, was shown to have an enlarged aorta during a routine heart screening, while further tests confirmed that he will require an operation.

The defender, who signed his first professional deal with the club in the summer, will return home to the north east to undergo the procedure and start his rehabilitation.
