The sixth round of games in the Bundesliga was overshadowed by a severe car accident involving Hoffenheim midfielder and Germany Under-21 international Boris Vukcevic. On his way to Friday's training session, Vukcevic crashed into an oncoming truck, perhaps on account of hypoglycaemia (Vukcevic is a diabetic). The player underwent an emergency operation and has been in a medically induced coma since.
