FIFA suspends Najeeb Chirakal

ZURICH -- FIFA has suspended an aide to former presidential candidate Mohamed bin Hammam for refusing to cooperate with investigations regarding his boss.

FIFA says it told Najeeb Chirakal he cannot work in soccer for two months "or until Chirakal cooperates with these proceedings as requested."

Chirakal has been warned he faces being charged himself for violations of FIFA's code of ethics.
