Trapattoni warns McClean

Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has warned James McClean over his foul-mouthed Twitter rant, revealing that if he had been playing for a bigger country then he would have faced the axe.

Sunderland winger McClean, 23, expressed his frustration at not making it off the bench in Ireland's 2-1 win over Kazakhstan on Friday via the social networking site, calling the decision a "f****n* joke".
