Hamburg still want VDV

Bundesliga side Hamburger SV have still not given up on signing Tottenham playmaker Rafael van der Vaart.

Van der Vaart, 29, and Hamburg have already agreed on personal terms. The Holland international would sign a three-year contract, earning €3.9 million per year.

However, the two clubs are still unable to agree on the transfer fee, with the Premier League club wanting €18 million, whilst the Germans are only willing to pay €12 million.
