Yoann Gourcuff has injury to MCL

Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff is facing up to three months on the sidelines with a knee injury, the Ligue 1 club announced Monday.

The 26-year-old France international had to be substituted after 12 minutes of Saturday's 4-1 victory over Troyes.

The team said in a statement that an MRI on Monday "revealed a sprained right knee with an injury to his medial collateral ligament."
