Rovers in pole for Rhodes

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean believes he can beat Premier League sides Fulham and West Ham United to the signing of Huddersfield goal-machine Jordan Rhodes.

Kean, who is rebuilding his squad after relegation to the Championship in May, told ESPN that Rovers have lodged an official bid for Rhodes.

Kean said: "I can confirm that we have a bid in for Rhodes, and are also interested in other players."
