Igesund gets South Africa job

South Africa have named former Moroka Swallows boss Gordon Igesund as their new national team coach.

Igesund, 55, edged out Steve Komphela for the post after both were given a chance to make their cases to the National Executive Committee, a statement on the SAFA website confirmed.

Komphela had been caretaker coach of Bafana Bafana following the dismissal of Pitso Mosimane last month.
